At The Sticker Hunt, we want your sticker design to shine, and we're here to assist you every step of the way. Here's everything you need to know about preparing your design for the best results:
Customizing Borders and Bleeds
By default, we add a subtle border around your art, but if you're aiming for a full-bleed design, just let us know during checkout. Keep in mind, the size you choose represents the longest side of the sticker.
Hands-On File Setup
Our skilled team is fully equipped to set up your file. However, if you're a design-savvy enthusiast who's already comfortable with Adobe Illustrator, you have the option to create your own cutlines, which we'll incorporate seamlessly.
Here's how to do it:
-
Label one layer "Artwork" for your design.
-
Create another layer called "Cut Line." You can craft the cutline with paths precisely as you envision. If you wish it to follow your design, you can vectorize and offset the design, then convert that path to a stroke.
Safety Margin and Full Bleed
For designs with a border, maintain a 0.05" margin between the cutline and your vinyl sticker design. Alternatively, if you're opting for a full-bleed design, we'll adjust the cut line slightly, approximately 0.03" inside your art's edge.
Minimum Cut Size
For die-cut vinyl stickers, we can create sizes as small as 0.75x0.75". If you need something even smaller, just reach out to us. For kiss-cut stickers, our lower limit is 0.5x0.5".
Finest Detail
The most delicate detail we recommend is a 0.5pt line-weight.
Choosing Colors
You have the freedom to supply your artwork in CMYK or RGB. Although both are viable, we typically lean towards CMYK as it boasts a broader color gamut. Opting for CMYK ensures a more precise print for our setup.
Image Resolution
We're committed to high-resolution printing. To achieve optimal results, we suggest submitting your images at 300ppi at full size. In case you have a lower-resolution image, don't worry; our team can enhance it. However, very low-resolution images might retain some graininess even after enhancement. We'll promptly contact you if we anticipate any issues.
File Formats
You're welcome to submit your design in any file format you're comfortable with. If you've set up the file yourself, feel free to save and upload it as a PDF.
Embracing White Space
By default, we let the white areas of your design remain transparent. This means we won't apply ink in those spaces, allowing your chosen vinyl material to shine through. We currently don't offer white ink printing. If you require white ink printing on your stickers, reach out to us to see how we can help!
At The Sticker Hunt, we're dedicated to ensuring your sticker design turns out exactly as you envision. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or special requests. Your creativity is our priority!
